Good news story about the 11 year old girl.

I so much appreciated the OBJECTIVE advice from fellow ABers, that I felt I should let you know that overstepping the mark in what i have said to my friend seems to have worked. It seems that my friend is making much more effort in preparing healthier meals for her daughter and I am cautiously optimistic that there has been a turn around. Thanks.

Just because it wasn't the answer you wanted, doesn't mean it was less valid. If you had wanted me to tell you to go ahead and read your "friend" the riot act or report her to the social services, then you should have said so.
To be blunt if you aren't prepared to accept the advice someone gives you then don't ask.
I gave you my time and spent a long time considering my answer, in return you got all snotty because you didn't like what I said. You also didn't give the full story in your first post, you asked if the kids mum could be suffering from Munchausen's Syndrome by proxy, which struck me as very unlikely.you didn't actually go into great detail about how the kids had asked you for help until your seond post so I can hardly be blamed for thinking you were an interfering old co*. However I was wrong on this occaision and I apologise, I am glad your friend's kids are being fed properly now.
