Seasonal changes and the altering of light can affect moods, as can the change in temperature, which scientists say can take us back to our earliest instincts to want to hibernate.
You may find that something as simple as a vitamin B complex could pick you up. Buy a few tablets of Berrocca effervescents from your local pharmacy. You may find that makes the difference.
However, if this does persist, it may warrant having a chat with your GP. But from the symptomologies youve alluded to, it doesnt sound quite like a clinical depression.
I wish you well

Sometimes we just feel down.
I have short periods of time once in a while where I just want to be alone, I feel absolutely pants and the slightest little thing just winds me up.
It feels like it won't go away but trust me, it does.
My advice, find something that makes you happy and do it.
I personally like taking long drives and love bombing around the Peak district between Sheffield and Manchester. The views and twisty roads just take my breath away and make me smile.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.

i used to feel like that at times during my monthly cycle, i went to my local holland and barrett few months ago now and they were brilliant. if you tell them how you feel they will recomend what should help you. im like a different person now and so pleased i took the trouble to go in there that initial day.
Sorry to hear you're having a bad time. As the wonderful VillageVicar suggests there can be a number of reasons for how you're feeling, from lack of vitamins, periods, arguments with partner or family to a stressful time at work. Hope it's just a temporary thing and it soon passes.

I was diagnosed with having depression 6 years ago and I felt suicidal on a few occasions. I was put on anti-depressents. It was probably the worst time of my life. Lots of things were going wrong for me just before I was diagnosed. The worst of it was caused by my neighbour who used to play loud music every night til 3 or 4 am. After a year lost sleep and complaining to the council with another neighbour she was prosecuted for noise nuisance.
Depression can be caused by lots of things. you need to look at what is going on in your life. Talk to your family, go out a bit more and try and get involved in things that make you happy.
If you can't pin point what is making you like this it may be just a seasonal thing that will pass.
Let us know how you are feeling in a few days.

I have Clinical depression (basically meaning that it has been diagnosed)
And as the same thing a tiggerblue, it is the worst thing I have ever been through, and I've been suffering for just over a year. I have had suicidal thoughts and once attempted to commit suicide. I'm quite continously down, but do occassionally have normal days where I can laugh and smile, but as I mentioned, these are few and far between. I see a pyscharist every two weeks and another counsellor each week (Even though I'm not suppose to). It really helps, because I need a lot of support to keep going. My pyscharist said, like quite a few of the others on here to eat a lot more foods with vitamin B. Also if it continues go and look at some self-help books, maybe pop down the doctors and let them know how you're feeling.
I struggle quite often to get out of bed, and as I said I rarely laugh.
Gosh, life is just hard... isn't it?

It just feels like life is always throwing the bad things at me while everyone else is happy!! (I know that sounds really bad) but I sort of envy happy people!!. It all started when a close family friend who is 8 years older than me, got together with someone I was seeing at the time! now I just have no trust in anyone. But im sure i will be fine. but just lost two good friends xx
