Women choosing to be sterilised to save the planet

A number of women are actively choosing to be sterilised in order to save the planet. These women believe having children is a selfish act, only done to maintain a person's genetic line. One woman was sterilised at 27. She says more children need more water, more food, make more rubbish and just generally need use more resources such as wood. What do you think? Is this something we all have to consider in the future with nature's natural resources decreasing? Or is this pure craziness?

Well if these dullards prevent any of their offspring polluting the gene pool then it can only be a good thing for all of us. Probably very little impact on the planet though.

Well there are also report of women who get sterilised at younger ages then years later they change their minds, I think people should definatly consider adoption more seriously.

i got myself sterilised cos i am selfish and don't want kids cluttering up my life, f all to do with the environment

If all women decide to become sterilised then people consider adopting, where would the babies come from to adopt?

It's interesting to note that the woman they interviewed wasn't sterilised when she first got married - she made her hubby have a vasectomy.

dumb woman. its the purpose of life to reproduce and keep life going. if we all stopped then the human race would be no more. it makes more sense to make environmental changes instead.
maybe she should go and live in the jungle, and eat tree worms. leaves, mud cakes ect, and then by default she would help save the planet from her over cosumption, and any kids she has would do the same and they can all live in one of those naitive villages you see in the jungle together. (not that therws anything wrong with those societies) x
