21st Birthday
3 Answers
A friend of mine's son is 21 this year. He left home at 16yrs and to put it bluntly is a little sod.
He only contacts his mum when he wants something and then will disappear for months.
She loves her son but realises that he doesn't want to be a part of the family but she wants to give him a gift for his birthday, preferably one that he won't sell as he has a drug habit.
I suggested she give him an IUO for when he grows up! What do you think?

I know you say that he doesn't want to be a part of the family but maybe she could put together a photo album or something, pictures of him as a little boy then all along the way growing up. Even though he makes it clear he doesn't want to be involved in the family, if he received something like that and thought about good times as a child, its bound to make him smile.
