Precognition

Precognition - the ability to see future events. I often sense things before they happen, either conciously or when asleep in the form of dreams. Is this ESP or just coincidence and the mind playing tricks?

I sometimes see things in picture form like in flashes or sense when something bad is about to happen

Me too. I had the strangest dream this morning. Think I've interpreteted what it means though, quite looking forward to it. You could argue its a self fulfilling professy if you make it come true but what's wrong with living out your dreams?

That's great Screech. Unfortunately mine tend to foretell disasters - plane crashes, etc. Even worse - they never fail to happen.

Only kidding Ice-Maiden. The example I gave was of course just one example. I've heard people talking in tongues in dreams only to hear the same tongue in a church a year later and then to be told by somebody in the church that I had a gift of having prophetic dreams. It all got a bit too scary for me after a while though and I stopped going. No point in trying to help these guys, they're already saved I thought. Though most of the dreams I've had tend to have myself or people I know at the core. I'm just trying to follow them now myself as God (whatever you want to call him) has made the path clear for me and gives me guidance that way, or so I believe when I really actualy sit down and think about it. It's like the nike advert says, just do it. If you're interested in what the bible has to say on it, read 1st Corinthians 14 and look up Daniel and Joseph.

It's obviously a coincidence. There's no such thing as ESP. If there were such a thing you would see the headline "Psychic wins Lottery" in the daily newspapers.

I must say I rarely open the bible these days but a good percentage of it makes a lot of sense. I know you're pagan but there's no need to fear it, I think most of it is a pile of nonsense and I've found that out and come to that decision myself but there's still a lot of wisdom to be foudn there.

Why don't you visit your local spiritualist church who can help you in many ways if you are interested in understanding about it. They are not scary, pushy or anything else, give it a couple of visits, I am sure someone there could talk to you about it lumsdale. Its always possible you have a gift of some sort that needs working on.

Great Britain is a mystical Isle with a tradition of many people having psychic or spiritual abilities. Lumsdale you sound like someone who could develop a gift if you wanted to. The person who mentioned about winning the Lottery, should realise that psychic gifts are not all about getting rich. Deveoping your gift with the guidance of a Spiritualist Church is a good idea, as they would not fleece you. If there are people out there who want to line their pockets, good luck to them, because it normally does not last long, but there are a much greater amount of people who use and develop their gifts primarilly to help other people.
