My mates husband (soon to be ex) had her name tattooed across the top of his shoulders in six inch high letters. She is now divorcing him and he is regretting it big style...
A bit difficult to tattoo over the top and disguise that one, lets just hope he meets another woman with the same name!

During my time in the Royal Navy I was engaged to a girl called Maureen.I had her name tattooed on my arm. We spit up. I then met and married my wife Christina. I have noticed that one trend is to have celtic tattooes in plain black . So I enquired at a parlour and was pleasantly surprised at the cost to have 'Maureen' covered over. I then mentioned it to my wife. To my surprise she said she had never really cared about the tattoo one way or the other. To her it was just part of me. Our children are aged 28 & 26 and we have three grandchildren. So what I am trying to say is that if you have someone as wonderful as I have they won't mind. We all make mistakes not all are permanent.
I have 2. Best advice is if you do choose to do it - think about it. Both of mine were done with the names within a ribbon - the first one has been covered up and is now a solid ribbon (no name there anymore). Unfortunately it was covered after his death however, I am very glad I did it within a ribbon as then it still looks great!
