Birthday idea

Hi all!
My friend has just been accepted for the Navy and goes off in the next couple of months. Before she goes it will be her birthday and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of something I could get her that will be perhaps useful for her when she goes - something that she would be allowed to take with her. I dont know the restrictions. I would be looking to spend around �40. thanks in advance.
