It's so much better not having to remember to take your contraception & just get on with life!

I was sterilised in and out the same day.Had it done on the Friday and back at work on Monday.
Its basically a laparoscopy -your tummy will be tender and bruised for a few weeks if mine was anything to go by.
Wouldnt affect your sex life.
It was a blessing for me as I had PID with the coil and reacted quite badly to the injections -so I just decided to go for the clip -no bother.

thanks for you help on this matter , sounds like the way forward for me. doc just put me on the pill for a while- even though said i thought i was too old and i smoke....she has advised me to have a coil fitted but the thought of that makes me feel funny. i have enough trouble going for the smear test every few years......not sure what to do but will look into more thoroughly before making the big decision.
Thanks again.
