i keep feeling like im being squashed like someone is sitting on my chest, it doesn't last long and my heart rate doesn't increase. I feel no other pain like in my arms or my jaw so quite sure it's not a heart attack! only just started happening friend of mine said it might be a panic attack but i am not worried about anything. any ideas it's not pleasant.
Could be a number of things, asthma, panic attack, indigestion...but you're doing the right thing about going to your GP, they'll be able to offer you advice and help you get better :o)
something like this happened to me once. i was lying in bed dozing and i 'went flat' thats the only way i could describe it. it was like id been squashed to a sheet of paper for 1 second, my breath was caught, and then 'ping' back again, completely normal, no pain, nothing. its so inexplicable!
This started happening to me aswell. It got to the stage that i couldnt actually breathe. My GP just kind of...well....did nothing. anyways, so i started making notes and realised that it only happened when i was drinking alcohol, and i narrowed it down, and noticed that it only happened when i drank alcopops.(blue WKD's ect) which is strange because iv been drinking them for years and never had a problem. so now i can only have one and i have to go on to somethin else! I spoke to a friend of mine who has the same propblem. Maybe this is what it could be with you?.....
ive had experiencing the same symptoms for many years, its not all the time though. i went to see my doc but they always say its just due to stress and anxiety and nothing to worry about. just take it easy.
