can anyone help with these questions please ?
explain what is meant by the term active listening ?
also a discription of the skills that are required of a good active listener thanks for any help

shouldn't you be answering those questions yourself rather than relying on others to complete your course for you? I wish I could've got through my University courses by asking others for the answers - didn't realise doing an NVQ was so easy!
miserable git.
Its nice to get lts of views and definitions to better rond your answers. Im sure GC has some ideas of her own, and also uses other references

Anyway, active listening is when you are paying attention to the person who is speaking your body language shows you are reacting to what they are saying (ie nodding, encouraging them to go on)
....also repeating what the other person says to acknowledge you have the correct understanding.

It's not always that easy to put something you understand into words xx

thank you both for your kind remarks , you are both correct in what you say , i do have answers of my own but like other input and also i find it difficult sometimes to put into words what i want to say ,thanks again both ,
