Any ladies ever tried a cut in a barbershop before?

Yes!!!!!! When I was 17, I staggered out of a pub, and me and my friends thought it'd be brilliant to have all our hair chopped off. We walked into a barbers - and all of us ended up with a number one!!!! We thought it was hilarious - until we sobered up. My father went ballistic, and threatened to pull all my hair out - which was a joke in itself, because I'd hardly got any left!!!!

fantastic story would love to hear more about it. How long was your hair at the time? its not often a barber will cut a girls hair.

20 years or so ago it was fashionable for girls with very long hair to get an undercut - only the barbers would do it.

I had the longest hair in the gang, silver - waistlength! The barber didn't want to do it at first, but we convinced him that it was cool to go for the "skinhead" look. I think the fact that there were 5 of us waiting as potential customers, helped to sway him. Anyway, he did one of my friend's hair first, and she looked OK! I went next, but I have to say that the first snips weren't too good. the hair pieces looked even longer than normal when they lay on the floor. Anyway, we all got shorn - and felt very different as we walked out. Somehow, the very short style gave us "attitude"!!!!

Used to get my hair cut regularly by a Greek barber about 30 years ago when I had a really short ' shaggy' hair cut. I must admit that I have never found such a good stylist since.

Never a full cut but on the odd occasion I have had my fringe cut at the barbers.

ice maiden its amazing what you done you all must have been mad that day lol i couldnt imagine a barbers doing that to 5 girls nowadays was it an older fashioned barbers you went to ? Well, my hair is shortish anyway & I have the sides & back electric shaved (Sound like a right she - man lol!! ) Anyway, I was probably in my thirties! I was desperate & couldn't wait.

skype you haircut sounds lovely actually some ladies suit clipper haircuts very well. Do you still get it cut in a barbers or does a slon do it now?

I wouldn't have the cheek to ask a barber to do it now! No, I have a mobile hairdresser that comes to my home xx

sasha what kind of haircut have you got ? long short ?When did you first try a barbers and why did you want to. I have heard some women want to try barbers if they could as its less fuss and cheaper as you say.

i promise you Lol in anything but weird im perfectly normal . Thats the trouble nowadays everyone is put into some kind of weird group if you ask something. Im sorry if you feel that way.

I meant to say too squarebare although i have a small interest about haircuts ( i hated them as a kid at school and thought its amazing women would try barbers Brave lol) Im always keen to chat to new people online or by email as most here seem an older age not teenagers. Im not a teen either lol. Im polite friendly and not abuseive. Again its the small majority of idiots who spoil it for the big majority of nice normal folk. But thankyou i appreciate what you said.

yes, they gave me a short back and sides and then asked me f I wanted something for the weekend, I wont go there again!
