did I have a miscarriage?

Hi there Im 8 weeks pregnant I think......I did 4 tests about 4 weeks ago and they were all positive but I did one today to be sue and it was negative could I have had miscarriage and not realised? I didnt have any bleeding or discomfort? Im reallyworried Im now not pregnant

I don't want to sound callous but pregnancy tests are never 100% and if you thought you were pregnant 4 weeks ago why did you not go to you G.P. and find out for sure?
Whatever your reasons, I would go to my doctors and find out for sure. If you do not want to go to your G.P. you could maybe go to your local family planning centre...I hope everything turns out as you hope!!!

I'm pretty sure you couldn't have a miscarriage without bleeding.

Maybe the most recent test could be wrong?? i don't want to give false hope though.

Take maggies advice and pop to your docs or nurse.

Hi, i agree definatley go to the docs, however it is extremely unlikely that u got 4 wrong positive results, it is much more likely for a test to give a false negative result than a false positive. good luck x

I did go to the docs four weeks ago and he just told me Id get an appointment to go to the hospital for a scan at 12 weeks he didnt do a pregnancy test.

I had some bleeding about 4 weeks into my pregnancy for a few days very light I just thought that was because my period was due.

I called the doc yesterday when I got the negative test and he just said Ive to go to the scan to see but I dont even have my appointment yet.

I think Ill try and go to the family planning and see if they can help me thanks

id say call your local hospital and ask to speak to the EPU (early pregnancy unit) they should be able to help.

just to point out to maggie, many GPs WONT test if you get a positive because they use the same tests and its pointless, All that happens is they pass your details to midwife and you get a booking in appt around time of 8-12 weeks.

i have had 2 miscarriges in early pregnancy. i had no bleeding and when i had a scan at the early pregnancy unit they told me the body kind of cannabalizes the featus, and the sack keeps growing get to your local early pregnancy unit a.s.a.p and good luck....

I suggested going to the G.P. for support & reassurance more than anything
