Hi, I stopped taking the contraceptive pill about 3 weeks ago, in an attempt to have another baby and i had a completely normal period about 3 days after coming off it. But ive just felt like complete rubbish for about 2 n half weeks, my appetite has gone down, yet feel as if im gaining weight cuz im so bloated, n
& therefore feel sluggish all the time, im also feeling quite sickly and more than anything really really tired all the time. I understand that after 5 yrs on the pill, im going to suffer side effects, just wonderng if anyone else has experienced this? i never had this with my daughter as we didnt try for her i literally missed 2 pills & became pregnant! Any posts appreciated!

Hi pingu!! Well hun, it just might've happened as quickly again. It did for us as well. I came off the pill and was pregnant within a week of trying for our first baby. It took a mere 5 days to get our second!!! xxx

omg thats really quick! i did take a test today that r supposed to detect it 7-10 days after conception n it was negative. i think it's just normal withdrawal symptoms, been filling myself wi hormaones for 5 yrs then suddenly stop might just be my bodies way of reacting, just feeling rotten!
I've had a few bad experiences coming off the contraceptive injection (went back on it after the last time as I felt so crap).

My body didn't seem to appreciate the change in hormones.
