Hi guys! I am still having problems with my heart. the thing is the scans came back normal, which although is a relief, it still gives me no answer as to what is wrong.
Im starting to think it is my head, cos no-one can seem to find anything wrong? Have you ever felt like this?? Im really fed up.

what do you mean problems?
Question Author
Palpatations, often accompanied by chest pains (which they said were to do with the muscle/skelton rather than the heart), dizzyness, shortness of breath and excessive fatigue, my legs can often get tired as well as painful so all in all i think im falling apart
how old are you?
have you discribed all of that to a doctor? What did they say?
have you had any tests done on kidneys?
Question Author
Im 22, went to the doctor and they referred me onto a cardiologist.
However i never got to see him as i saw a cardiac nurse instead who i explained everything to, and i mean she went into every detail so she has all that. They sent me away with a heart monitor for the weekend, which i don't think caught anything and now i have to wait for them to get the results.
Its just driving me nuts that they cannot find anything wrong.

4getmenot no i have not why?
I would go and explain all the symptoms to your doctor, if you haven't already. Could be something like ME, which can produce all these symptoms.
Question Author
oh thats interesting never knew that one, 4getmenot has your boyf got back yet?
Def keep going back! I was ill for about 2 years and doctors ended up saying i was making it all up and i was imagining it! Went to see speacialist finally and they diagnosed ME. Which isnt great but so relieved someone finally understood me!
I'm sure they'll find it's just lack of sleep or something, worrying makes people more ill I know it's easy to say try not to worry but I think you should (try not to worry) and It'll be fine!!
btw have they done a blood test?
I had the same problem nannon, twenty years ago when ME was not recognised by some doctors (including mine, who just had me down as a hypochondriac)
Question Author
yes i felt like a human pincushion.
explain all syptons to doc, my friend had same kind of symptons and was doc said something about her kidneys. I pu t post on here at time let me find it. And no he should be getting xrays about now, but wont know results today anyway
I'm with LoftyLottie - I have a problem similar to M.E. & often have the symptoms you describe, (although I did have an 'abnormal' heart for a while which settled down without intervention).

aw thanx 4getmenot, wish your boyf all the best i have my fingers crossed for you both!
Can you put it down to anxiety? My son thought he was ill and had heart scans, turned out to be panic attacks

and thank you.
I have had atrial fibrilation twice and experienced the same symptoms you have had. Having heart disease all my life, numerous operations and procedures I ended up having real bad panic attacks. Even well after I had a cardioversion and my heart rhythm returned back to normal (whats normal for mine anyway) I still thought that there was something dreadful wrong and still had the same symptoms. It was as though suddenly it had hit me all these years that I have heart disease (I was born with it, had op at 12 months old, 8 years of age and 14 years of age. Began to effect me mentally when I was 25, now im 30). I was too scared to do anything in case it was too strenuous for my heart so i ended up very imobile. Since then i have had councelling and I can do virtually anything and i dont get panicky or the sumptoms I had before. Maybe it is maybe more of a mental issue without sounding patronising. It is soooo mad what the mind can do. All I can suggest is that you try to trust the medics and try to see if relaxation techniques help ease any pain. Go and speak to you GP and let him know how you are feeling and how much it is upsetting your life. Do you have a history of heart complaint? Are you under any specific stress in your life at the mo?
