can anyone tell me what a pet scan is please ,? and what it entails as a friend of mine has to have one ,she has got cancer thanks for any answers

thank you 4getmenot for your replys i had just printed the last one it was helpful ,my friend has bowlcancer it has gone to her liver as well maybe elsewear thanks again

Oh my thoughts are with you. I take it that is what the pet scan is for then to check how far it has spread. Do you know if they can do anything for her?
