I am going to Pilates tomorrow morning for the first time, and am a little worried, i am not the fittest of people, and have only joined the gym fairly recently in an attempt to loose weight. A friend recommended Pilates, so have booked it, What is it and is a high activity class? am i likely to make myself look silly because i am so unfit?

As puddicat says, it's more stretches and we do leg raises as well. It's good for making you more flexible and it's easy to do some at home too as all you need is space to lie down! I would recommend it along with doing a class that is geared more to 'fat burning' like aerobics. With pilates, as with all exercise classes I find, you can go at a pace that suits you. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm sure they charge over about that for specialist classes at a local yoga centre which my osteopath goes to.
Some comparatives here for near me, big variation in price up to �8 per session. Do they do a discount of you book multiple ones?

I went to classes at the gym I was a member of so the classes were included in the membership price.
