Hi Turkey.
Now I have ears and nose.
In the past I had more in ears, one in lip.
I have my hood (Hate that word) pierced but dont wear anything as novelty worse off after about 2 weeks. That hurt like hell. Others didnt really hurt but I was still tense with nerves, and lip is painless as there's not really many nerves in that area.

I have two in each ear, but I don't wear earrings anymore. I got my nose pierced, and wore a stud for years, but took it off.
I now have my tongue pierced, and a labret.
I'm contemplating the same as Jedimistress now...
The nose hurt the most, although the labret hurt quite a bit too. after all, you ARE pushing a huge needle through flesh, it's bound to hurt! Only lasted half a second though, no pain at all once it was done.

I have to stress I got my nose pierced at 18, my tongue at 21 and my labret 3 months ago, and I'm 30. So not a teenage "rebellion" thing there! lol
My tongue healed very quickly. I had trouble eating solid food for a couple of days, but it was fine after that. No slurring, no difference in my speech at all. But then everybody is different!
Just keep an eye on it, and if it starts hurting, or oozing stuff, give your piercer a call. Tongue piercings should be clean, albeit a bit swollen in the first couple of days. Keep doing the mouth washes after you eat anything, drink anything, or smoke. Non-alcoholic washes are best. Oral B does one.
