I used them after my operation when any other form of exercise was out of the question.
They certainly DO work if you put a lot of effort in to them - if the table is raising your leg, for example, try to stop it using your muscles; if it is trying to turn your hips to the right, use your muscles to resist.
If you just lie there and don't resist, it is of no benefit at all.
You should really feel the pull, but no pain is preferable. :)
I didn't think there were any toning tables left. They are a bit old fashioned now, the new thing seems to be the powerplate and other similar devices.
I didn't have much success with them - & I did work with them & not just lie there.
n.b.: also tried the powerplates - slightly better results, but I don't think either of them are really worth the money.
Have just got a wii fit - & hoping this will be more worthwhile (& much more fun....!)
