Does the implant contribute to my periods being irregular?

yes, I had an implant 2 years ago and it caused havoc for the first year, but after about 13 months everything went back to normal. I got a lot of headaches and sore boobs too but that has mostly worn off (I take Ibuprofen when it happens, see your GP if you try this and it doesn't work). I was really bad about remembering the pill so it was the only choice for me.
