Any solutions for a snorer? Snore sprays are very expensive, 'Stop Snoring' for example is 11 for a tiny bottle that gives 20 snore free nights. Any good alternatives that may work long term?

Thanks in anticipation.

Many causes of snoring and I would suggest seeking the advice of an ENT surgeon.
or a packet of sudafed.
Depends how bad it gets, my bloke only snores when on his back so I roll him over or cough as that shuts him up

This company will make a mouth device from impressions made by his dentist, the device is small and not intrusive, it fits over the teeth and pulls the lower jaw forward which prevents snoring.

I have tried every device and potion going - including having my tonsils and half my soft palette removed sirguically, and finally in desparation, contacted this company.

It works. Cost around 150 inclduing impresions - woth every penny.
does the snorer wear pjs? if so you could try an old fashioned tip of sewing a cotton reel to the back of the pj top, this stops the snorer from lying on their back which is the position where the snoring happens at its worst
is t he snorer overweight? If so get them to lose weight. You can get nose spray on prescription.
you can get those little watch things that give you an electric shock when you snore
I snore really bad. So much so that I have many times woken myself up because I'm so noisy. I've tried the sprays and like you say it turns out really expensive. AND it tastes horrible too.

But then I saw an ad for Silent Knight snore ring. I was very dubious as how could a small ring possibly help my snoring. - But seriously it does. You can buy them in Boots or online. They're a bit pricey, about 25-30 but at least it's a one off payment.
They do say people who are really bad snorers might need to wear 2 rings (on on each hand) but one ring is enough for me.
Just make sure you follow the instructions of how to wear the ring in order for it to be effective.
A couple of months ago the whole family went to Gran Canaria for a holiday and my mum was sharing with a friend. My mum snores even worse than me and her friend was having sleepless nights and was contemplating sleeping on the balcony. So I lent my ring to my mum and it worked for her too. It may not remove the snoring completely, in both my mum and my case, the snoring has now reduced significantly so that we're not keeping anyone else up at night.
It may be a bit drastic, but if your snoring is due to a blocked nose, you could cut out dairy from your diet and this would really help clear up the sinuses.
Mr O uses those BreatheRite strips from Boots. They work fine as long as he doesn't roll onto his back. If he does, I find a sharp elbow jab usually works.

There is always the spare room.........
ear plugs . the only thing is to put them in and go up to bed half an hour before your partner put your ear plugs in and you will be asleep before they go up to bed
