Hey Whitebear!!
I was in a similar situation to you a few weeks ago and I wish I had said something at the time but I was by myself and didnt want to cause a fuss.
Onto happier thoughts hows your little nephew?
No - best to ignore ignorant things like that. x

my nephews fine thnks not seen him for two weeks! :(

there was soo much stuff i felt like saying to him....

... i mean he didnt have to say it infront of me...

Best to ignore the dumb comments.
But if you had to say something.....maybe "No, these are so outdated. Same as ignorant racist comments, really." Finished off with a big cheesy smile.

no you did the right thing by keeping quiet, these type of people are just ignorant simpletons and are best ignored, if you had to respond i would have just looked at him smiling and moving my head from side to side, meaning what a fool you are. that would have hurt him more than he hurt you.
I agree with Ice and Pickle's comments too.

thanks guys..
what an idiot wasnt he?...

hey hey imhotep ;) xx how ya doing xx
Was he not just referring to the contaminated milk powder thats made thousands of babies sick recently, baring in mind they have recently withdrawn a lot of chocolate from the shelves because some of their products are made in China I would have thought he was just airing concern and better informed than some of the other customers that were queuing in the store at that time.

I dont think he was being racist at all actually.
Eek.... I missed the you were chinese bit but it may well have been coincidence whitebear. He might have been cringing like mad on the inside.
Hi WhiteBear.
Don't really think that was a racist comment to be honest- the fact that you are Chinese doesn't make you responsible for the whole nation! But I appreciate what you mean.
I'm still kicking myself for not speaking up a few months ago when a couple in the Optician's were talking very loudly about the price of specs, and saying "if we had black faces we wouldn't have to pay". Morons. x
I'm not surprised you didn't say anything because well u don't expect someone to say that to you in cadburys, I would have been a bit 'what did he just say?'

But yes like the others say best not give him any credit by commenting back I would pretend I didn't hear him that way his joke/comment would have just fallen flat ..thats even more embarassing to him.

I find out more and more these days that when these loud mouth people come out the wood work and try and create 'a scene' in public I want to say something back and really come back even harder than them to make them back off, but at the end of the day these people seem to have very lttle to lose, they don't mind at all out physiclal fight, being arrested, or jail. And as I have a professional 'legal' job, no criminal record and assets to my name I'm the only one whos going to lose out. I used to be scared of confrontation growing up but mentally I have been through some bad times over the past couple of years that has really hardened me to a 'taking no **** from no-one' frame of mind. But at the same time I think I have to weigh up the risks of how far a disagreement might go purely because I well lose the most because they have nothing!
WhiteBear...It's english humour. You could have said 'look at my eyes (if they're chinese) that's what engish milk has done. Or, 'english milk has dumbed your brain'. 'English milk comes from cows with staggers, I see'! (insinuating the foul-mouth lout is unbalanced).

Don't take such remarks to heart, as the chinese Gov has admitted that chinese companies have been 'doctoring' their milk and you should be just as annoyed at the babes lives lost thru this misdemeanor. It's not personal, as is not mad-cow-disease.
