Genital Herpes

I have read here about remedies to help cold sore, but wanted to ask if there is one for Genital Herpes. Also is it possible to get a recurrence in another place of your genitals from the initial sight?

the drug 'aciclovir'. the same stuff that you maybe given for cold sores is sometimes given for genital herpes - they are both caused by the Herpes simplex virus, one is type one, the other type 2. Genital herpes can be highly contagious and can be spread by contact. If you are concerned you should visit your local GU or sexual health clinic. In the UK any information given at these clinics is confidential and you don't even have to give your real name.

Lignacaine is very good for helping sooth the discomfort brought on by herpes. I think you can get it over the counter in the form of VagiSil ( http://www.vagisil.co.uk/uk_pi_cream.html. Yes, it is possible to get another recurrence elsewhere though it is generally quite habitual. As craig said though, go to the docs for proper advice on what to use!

(sorry this is a question!) If someone had herpes in the past but wasn't showing symptoms, (blisters?) at the time, would it still be possible to contract it during unprotected sex?

Yes, it would still be possible - herpes is a virus that doesn't go away, so it would still be transmitted through fluids. But it's much more contagious when there are sores.

Yes you can get them all over your genitals anus and moth if your not careful. Herpes is very easily spread to other parts of your body.
