I'm a male and I have mid length to long hair (Think Beatles about 1966, Charlatans,Oasis, Richard Ashcroft kind of thing) I cannot seem to get my fringe to go how I like it. It usually goes in just one solid block, giving my hair a toupee look :( How do I get the fringe to have those little gaps in it? I mean this kind of thing ; http://www.musikexpress.de/images/2004/02/05/819621.jpg It does eventually get to the kind of look I like but usually the next day after I've washed it , but how do I style it to go like that straight out of the shower?? Sorry for the vague question, but maybe someone out there is an hairdresser lol

Might be that you need to have your hair 'feathered' at the front, specially if your hair is thick. It would probably be worth having a chat with the hairdresser you go to. If it goes 'the right way' a day after being washed, its probably the natural oils helping out, but my sons achieve something similar with hairgel. Once they have put it on, they bend forward and shake their heads. Works every time :)
Yeah, just take the picture you posted into the hairdresser and they will sort it out. Your fringe will go in a block unless the ends are tapered a bit.

Cheers folks. I always feel a bit daft taking a photo into the hairdressers, but when needs must... lol.
