My latest (got two) is a row of little coloured stars down the back of my neck. I happen to think they're quite discreet as they can be covered by my hair if I don't want them on show.
I don't understand the argument of "oh but when you're old......". Lets face it by the time we're all in our dotage and dribbling into cups in an old folks home, you'll look out of the norm if you don't have tattoos or piercings.

Ouch!!!
It's not old age that worries me, it's middle age. I still want to go on the beach when i'm 40, 50, 60 (I read on the weekend that 60 is the new 40) but its not gonna be a good look - spare tyre developing nicely, crow's feet/laughter lines, first greys, god forbid cellulite, and a ruddy phoenix on my back ???
Just doesn't go, does it?

My Nan, 93 bless her, is in a home. They sit in circle and chat all day, and not one of them has absolutely any clue what anyone is talking about. Is like that joke, one says "Isn't it windy?" other says "No, I think its Thursday" third says "So am I, lets have a cup of tea"!!
I'm telling my kids to get piercings (keeping them quite mild, no tunnels) - at least when the fashion changes you can take them out!!

First of all. Puddicat, cut out the text speak. It shows a complete lack of intelligence, is clumsy to read and shows a lack of respect to your reader..
As for tattoos. They are bad enough on men but men can just about get away with them. On women however, they look very tacky and cheap. Remember that what you think looks good on you at twenty or thirty will look very silly when you are sat in the care home in your eighties.

small tacky ones are terrible loooking on woman so are the tramp stamps on their lower backs,i like a woman who can carry a nice big artistic tattoo on her upper arm,not trampy just kinda trashy and stylish like pink has...i hate amy whinehouse tattoos on woman yuk!!! and young girls with any kind off tattoos is discrace...
I have 4 tattoos, all of which can be covered up easily, they are rarely on show and most of my acquaintances don't even know I have any. I do regret the first 3 I had but only because I was very young when I had them done and had the misfortune to choose 2 really bad tattooists to do them. The 4th one I had is a true work of art and even years later still retains all the colour and looks as fresh as when it was done.
