I need advice on severely abnormal periods, can anyone help? Can't see my doctor until next week!!! Freaking out and would appreciate support. If anyone thinks they can help, let me know and I'll give you the gory details

It sounds like at the time you had the hysteroscopy they must have ruled out endometriosis , and fibroids , or any infection , otherwise you would have been told . I think you are going to have to either hold out until your gp appointment , or seek medical help sooner . Remember that your blood loss may look more than it is so don't be too alarmed . If you change to producing large clots though , do get seen quicker . If your pain is too much to handle you may have to ring NHS Direct and get seen . All the best . x

Bigmamma, Why do you say large clots are worrying because I notice those every time I go to the loo during my period????

Clots during your period are common honey , but not between periods , I certainly don't mean to scare you sweetie , no . Any continued heavy loss should be seen by your gp anyway ,whether it's going to be normal for you personely he will decide .

Don't worry, you haven't scared me, my sister and her dodgy websites did that!!!! Just fed up, Daren't go out without wearing a towel at any time of the month. Am going to the docs but it's like trying to get an audience with the Pope. Appreciate all the advice. xxx

do you have a NHS walk in centre near you? you can get advice from the GP/Nurses there...

No walk in centres, just primary care that you have to phone.

Perhaps you have a problem with the time it takes your blood to clot and therefore have prolonged bleeding. A blood test could find this out. You still need to find out why you're in pain though.
I think it would be a good idea to ask to see another specialist. GPs aren't expert in everything, they have limited knowledge.
