Blood test
13 Answers
I had to have a blood test this morning. Just took the plaster off and the whole of the inside of my elbow is a bloody black mess (about 1 x 2 inches). I've cleaned it up, but this is clearly under the skin. Is this normal?

Also, if you are taking aspirin/warfarin - pressure would need to be applied longer.
If you bruise easily anyway, you will be more likely to bruise after venepuncture - try keeping the pressure firm and elevate your arm if you have to have another more taken in future.
Doesn't sound like it warrants sick note tho.....lol!!
