black eye!!

Help!!!
My hubby gave me an accidental black eye this morning.
We are meant to be away with family this weekend but i really do not fancy going down with a black eye.
Does any one have advise for making the bruising going down quickly. i would use arnicha but i dont like using it near the eyes. Anything else i can try?????

My husband went to pull duvet up to tenderly cover me whilst I was asleep and his hand let go suddenly and he punched me hard.......thats his story anyway!! You are better to tell family what happened. If you try to cover up your black eye they will only think the worst!!

Is the bruise swollen, or just discoloured. If only discoloured, then you can buy "Veil" cover cream from most good chemists, which should hide the evidence/

An ice-pack is usually the best for bruises.

Ice pack and then rubbing on Arnica cream may help.

chuck a heavy crystal ashtray at his face for a gawd almighty scar......right between the eyes so they're both black as well.....his mum will love that!
