Iv had my tongue pierced for about 7months den had to take it out for work reasons its bn out 3months now and iv decided i want it done again! Is it sore getting it done a second time and is it safe?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Speak to your piercer, they will advise u further, i have had my tongue pierced for nearly 12 years, first time it swelled so much and killed afterwards, had to have it removed as i got an infection as my wisdom tooth came through and it spread to my tongue.
Second time i had to wait 3 months to heal properly b4 my piercer would do it again, and it was no different from the first time having it pierced, but it hardly swelled, i was eating nxt day and talking fine day after too.
Just pick a good piercer and they will give u the best advice they can offer, where do u live i might be able to recomend one, have some contacts in the piercing world xx lol xx

It is never safe to have your tongue piereced and anyone who could do it 'safely' would probably be too ethical to do so.
The tongue is a highly vascular muscular structure, when you have your tongue piereced you are risking, a major bleed, haemotoma formation which could compromise your airway or major sepsis.
