I'm a thin person who'd love to gain about 7lbs but never able to, whatever I eat. I'm tired of shows/ articles etc that constantly help the overweight. Is there anyone out there that feels like me?? A bit more t***s & a**e is all I want. You more vuluptuous women, I'm jealous! What do us skinny ones do ????( I have studied nutriion to A level, I have a physically demanding job, I have an intolerance to sugar).Would complan work as a go-betweeen meals? I do have a very healthy appetite. This is a genuine question for help. (5' 3" , 8st)
i am also quite petite and 5"4 ?I take meal replacement drinks in between meals similar to complan but you need to take consistently. try eating higher calorific foods
good to see that not all women want to be super slim, and the good news sarah is that your goals are quite easily accomplished once you really check out your diet and understand your metabolism,do you work out? because squats are very well known for building the overall body but especially legs, thighs and the glutes, also your diet,up your calories, have 5-6 smaller meals high in protein, healthy fats and especially carbs, like pinky said also incorporate weight gain shakes in between your meals, also estrogen will put on weight in those womanly places so you'll have to look up herbs that raise estrogen(hollandandbarrett) will have everything you need! also check this site out-
Well I'm 5ft. 7 and a bit - lol - and about 8 and a half stone, or WAS, until very recently. I was the butt of jokes at school, and, with being top-heavy for my size, I've sometimes felt embarrassed about it, but I've come to accept that this is the way I am now.
If you eat more protein, and larger meals, you may gain the weight you want, but it could also be difficult to lose it again if you found that it didn't suit you.
Thankyou all, It's nice to know there are others out there!!
Yes I love a chardonnay/ semmillion/ merlot/ zindfandel etc you name it. I do like myself but would like that extra 7lb. I dislike fried foods etc . I'm in a catch twenty two where I enjoy healthy food ( not hippy food- meat & 2 veg) . Thankyou Gymrat & Icemaiden taken both on board. And ta to the rest for contributing.
Merlot's starting to kick in Time for bed,
Cheers,
Sarahmitz
I'm 5'10" and only weigh just under 8.5 stone, so I'm classed as quite underweight.
I found the best way for me to combat this was the gym. Hit the weights machines and do some floor work like squats, the plank, sit ups etc and maybe some cycling to build up the leg muscles. Muscle weighs more than fat after all! I did of course make my meals larger as well, but its amazing what the gym could do.
I really should get back into the swing of it myself!!
I'm a bloke of 24 years age and i've always been underweight and i agree that television, books etc always focus on the overweight people and not us.
I'd love to put on more weight and muscle. I think i'm gonna have to try those protien shakes and concentrate on squats and anything else to improve my chicken legs!
Cheers Doherty & all the other skinnies!!! There must be a certain percentage out there of us who just stay thin regardless of diet. Are we all the same where we are busy people who can't sit still, even relaxing - thrumming(iis that a word?) fingers or rocking an ankle, all of which maintains the metabolism?
Gymrat, thanks for your input, gonna put some advise to use! I do eat greasy food late at night ( when I finish work) but the oestrogen thing was helpful. However I'm in my mid 40ies is this gonna muddle me up or help thru (no doubt) up & coming hardship? I'm guessing it would be of benefit but that's gut talking no knowledge. If you are a good Dr please give me your advice.
Cheers.
Cheers No Knowledge, thoroughly experienced that on several occasions. It was great being two different people. Not an option nowadays (I'm a young granny!!!! But ta anyway! It would've been a good response.
