Devasted to let you all know mum passed away this afternoon, it was peaceful and I was with her thank goodness although she didn't know I was there. It all happened so quickly so I would urge all those who are still lucky enough to have their parents to treasure them, I know I shall miss seeing mum every day and life will never be the same but it goes on regardless.

I just wanted to add my condolences to you. Having lost my beloved daddy only eight months ago I know how you are feeling. Life goes on but I can honestly say I remember very little about 2008 it is like I have just been going through the days in a fog. I hope you and your family find strength and comfort at this time and my thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry -words sometimes arent enough when you lose someone so dear to you -I can only say -and its cold comfort at the moment -but you will at some point get comfort that you were part of her life and she was part of yours and she truly enhanced it.Take comfort in that.

Thanks Drisgirl. Feeling more positive today, think it was the shock really, it all happened so quickly. However old your mum is it still hurts like hell, my best friend has gone. Have been so busy today arranging everything. All the support which I have had from AB's really has helped, thank you all so much.
