Poorly daughter
2 Answers
My daughter had swollen glands in her groin and had a blood test which showed her white cell count was only. I thought it would have been raised. She's had it repeated today. She's very tired and pale. She's 15. Any ideas what could be causing this?
Many thanks,

Swollen glans in the groin are quite common and do not necesarily indicate active disease.
I presume that her Haemoglobin was normal as was her white cell count.
Her tiredness and pallor do not seem to be due to her swollen groin gland.

Hi Chickenchick, Just wondering what your daughters health has been like like over past few months/weeks. WCC is uaually higher when fighting infection. Enlarged glands in groin are commen also when fighting infection. You may need to take her to a Haematologist to investigate the WCC if she does not improve fairly quickly. Hope she will be better very soon.
