Im so worried!
My 21 year old daughter rang me today telling me that she has been bleeding heavily after intercourse, she started having sex at the tender age of 13, and unfortunatly has had a lot of sexual encounters she now decides to tell me about the bleeding which happens after sex, and has been happening now for well over a year or more, she has the coil fitted but the bleeding was happening before she even had the coil, she has a 16 month old daughter and is in a long term relationship now, im thinking the worst, should i be, or could there be another reason for this, she is making a docs app tomorrow which i will be going too with her. Thank you.PS. she is also in a lot of pain in her stomach.

It could be nothing, but you've said she has been sexually active from an early age, so if she wasn't using condoms, then she may have caught an infection at some point, causing inflammation.
It could also be the coil, some women do experience irregular bleeding and abdominal pain with this device. It must be a worry and she sould probably see her GP as an emergency and not wait for an appointment.
I hope the news is good and the outcome is positive.

I agree with Velvetee. It's more than likely due to the coil, which might need removing. It can cause bleeding and bad pains in some women, but she really needs to see her doctor. Being as though she's 21, and has had a child, I'm sure that she'd be allowed a smear test, which'd rule out all sorts of problems. Best of luick.
