My father recently passed away from cancer and I have given up smoking since then (2 and a half weeks) since there is no better opportunity than now. However, I am still feeling the cravings; the withdrawal symptoms.
I would like to know from ex smokers how long these symptoms continue for. Weeks? Months?

It's ladybird in french. I live in France.
Ha, ha, ha yes, cochineal that's the stuff we put into making pink cakes, it's a dye from insects, yuk!
By the way, sorry about your Dad but at least he isn't suffering anymore. I lost my Dad too but from an industrial cancer. Chin up and as you say give up for him.
You have the cravings for life I reckon.

I gave up using nicotine gum, and I ALWAYS have some on me. I don't need to chew anymore, but I know that if I have none to hand, I will start to want a ciggy very badly.

Cocinelle- yes I thought so as it sounds similar to "pig" in Spanish, and they are pink :)
