Hi

I am not sure if I am being too sensitive or slly so here goes.

I met a man who I have been dating for 2 months. We only get together about once a week as we are both wary of rushing in too quick.

Anyway, he is going to a music festival at the end of July with friends (men & women) and has discussed it with his friend in front of me. His friend wants him to book tickets this w/e. He hasnt asked me which I would ike him too. Do I assume that I am invited as they discussed it with me there? Or am I not invited as he hasnt actually asked me? Argh - I hate dating after all this time lol.

Anyway should I do or say anything or keep quiet?

I personally woundnt assume I was invited .. But if you'd like to go then say .. He might think it's not ur sort of thing .. Just say you'd love to go too :)
As jonah says he may think it isn't your thing but as you know about it, couldn't you ask a few questions about it such as where is it? what kind of music is it? is it mainly young adults? etc if he thinks you're interested he then might ask you if you'd like to go...
Your NOT invited until he asks you.
hmmm... can't you say something like, "so what time will you be setting off?" and hope that he says, "me? but you're coming too!"

toughie.. I wouldn't assume but after 2 months maybe you could just ask. shame he's not been clearer though.

best of luck x
If you are not invited,it seems a bit rude and insensitive of him to discuss it in front of you. if it was just a vague mention of it, it would not be so bad....but he is discussing definite plans.
Then -of course-maybe he's just not thinking...as men do sometimes...lol
Dating once a week for 8 weeks........doesn't signify a lifetime commitment...LOL

If he wants to take you he'llask you.

What do women want? He probably has other "female friends"

Thank you all for your answers - I think maybe I will just see if he asks me or not but I do agree that maybe men dont think of things the same as women do!

Squad - I see him once a week atm yes, but neither of us see other people!

Feel too old at 45 to be worrying over such silliness!!
Aged 45 and a "music festival?"

I would be relieved if he didn't invite me. LOL

Thanks for that legend - was soooo sweet lol
I would be rather bereft if he hadnt invited me, regardless of how often you see each other, it's still a relationship and if he cares about you he would think nothing more of wanting to take you with him....I would certainly raise this with him...afterall you are not kids, no point in playing mind games - you need to know where you stand, if you dont ask you dont get...stop guessing and ask him. I hope you get the answer you want...good luck.
Men! I have been with my partner for 20 years and still sometimes he does things just assuming that I am in agreement with what he wants, they think we are mind readers!
I remember when we first met, he used to go over to his parents for Sunday dinner. He continued to do this on his own for quite a few weeks without giving me an invite until I took matters into my own hands and told him it would be nice if I could go as well, unless there was a particular reason why he wanted to go on his own. He looked very surprised at my comment as he had thought that as I had not said anything, I did not want to go!
So don't assume anything where a man's mind is concerned! Honestly you men are so simple! Why can't you lot realise that us women need to have things spelt out for us once in a while!
So taking it that he is a typical man, I think you need to clarify what he intends doing, I expect he assumes that you will take the discussion as your invite, but I would definately ask him to make sure!
Best of luck! I am sure that everything will be fine!

An update for those of you who answered me - raised the subject and he just said he thought it wouldnt be my thing - thinks I am too classy for what it is and camping etc!!

Hmm having looked the website I tend to agree - its all sounds a bit hippy druggy for me!!
Thanks for the update, it seems that he is just a typical man after all!
I hope that things are still going okay for you both.
Cheers
Sue
