I like blah, shes just one of the guys...
Is it true that guys will see you as "just a friend" or "one of the guys" if you share an interest considered masculine i.e. chronic football (soccer) obsession? PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!

Admittedly their interest was mainly in the hunky men who played those sports but it was an interest nevertheless. Does it really matter is you are a friend - or are you worried that your interest may put off a potential suitor?
I don't think liking football is considered only masculine any more. Having masculine interests does not lead to only being thought of as one of the boys, and it can help a relationship a lot if things that take up time regularly (eg watching sport) can be shared.
If everything a women did could be considered stereotyped 'masculine' eg drinking pints, swearing, breaking wind, talking nonsense, behaving like an prat etc etc then eyebrows may be raised and potential suitors could well be put off
I like soccer, rugby and Formula 1 and my men friends don't think I am odd. In fact it makes it easier for them as they don't feel I am being left out when watching said sports.
Also like georgit79 I am a Man.Utd. fan having been born within 2 miles of Old Trafford, but have a soft spot foe Wigan Athletic.
