Can anyone give me some advice on headaches! I have started to get headaches near on when I am about to come on my period. They last ALL day and talking paracetamol only covers up the initial pain... when they ware off its back! Its like a dull ache! Is there anything I can take leading up to my period to stop these headaches??? I have never suffered previously! Thanks!

O.K Microgynon is both oestrogen and progesterone and it may be the oestrogen bit is causing the headaches.
Go back to your disinterested GP and ask him if he would change you over to a Progesterone only pill.
Disintereted!.....disgusting.

yeah I was not impressed either! And I hardly go to the GP for that reason.... feel like I don't want to waste their time!
But these headaches... are ONLY around my period so I am sure its linked to them!
And its a different pain to a hangover... so I am sure its to do with it!
I have been on the pill for a few years, maybe its just a body change! I will go back and get another pill!!!

I can't believe your GP wasn't interested - that's outrageous. Especially when it's a well known fact that there's a link between being on the pill, migraines and blood clots. Obviously 9 times out of 10, it's nothing to worry about, but should most definitely not be just dismissed.
I would insist on seeing a female GP or a nurse.
I was on the same Pill as you some years ago and suffered with headaches and migraines the first 2 days of my period. It stopped as soon as I came off that particular pill.
Good luck
