Ear Problem

When I awake in the morning my right ear feels as if it`s blocked and I can hear perfectly well, but I have to keep on holding my nostrils and blow to hopefully clear it, like in an airplane. I have had my wife pour olive oil in it for a few nights and it`s clear. I also have looked at the `net doctor` with no results. Anyone got a reason why? tia

This may not apply to you but I've inflamed sinuses on the right hand side of my face - i started like you but eventually lost the hearing in my right ear, but it still returns on occasion

Go and see GP immediately

I agree with sid........there is either negative pressure in your ear due to fluid or nasal problems, sinusitis or polyps, but as an outside bet, there might be a small piece of wax which is blocking the ear canal.

See you GP and he will look into your ear with an auroscope.
