After having a good night's sleep, I reach eagerly for the AB on my PC and what do I find............a fight between paraffin and leggy, ending up with paraffin waving goodbye.

My evaluation after "ploughing " through the thread:

Paraffin posed a question for debate.
Paraffin was not obliged to post his own views....although it would be better if he had.

Paraffin....don't be bl00dy stupid, come back.

Leggy..you can be extremely witty, extremely intelligent and extremely irritating and not necessarily in that order.


Both leggy AND paraffin are valuable members of this site.

it was a question of questionable judgement, however a (rather late) retraction and apology was issued. draw your own conclusions, but personally, I found it highly offensive.

I know that I would not want to offend anyone, but then again, I'm not the 'follower' type, - have enough inme to have my own opinion!

Would hate to think that I would ever offend others!

we are all (well, mostly!) grown ups, but that doesn't mean it was an acceptable comment.

if someone asks such a question they can only expect opinions on that, and the general opinion was that it was outrageous.

I thought the OP was asking a question, not giving an opinion.

The early answers seemed to assume (erroneously) that the OP had proffered an opinion.

But I didn't go back to the thread, so I haven't seen what developed.

Mr sqad - took your advice on other matter we discussed the other day!! My Dr. said, basically - pe off!! would not refer me to a specialist / surgeon! They would just monitor the problem! _ - _ & then they wonder why plebs die through lack of care!!!??
