im not sure how to right this, cos i no i will get some smart answers. ive had 2 kids, and decided on a 3rd so have done the necessary preps (which i didnt with the other 2, kinda but not totally planned) and have felt like i did with the last 2 pregnancies so tooka test and it was neagative but when ive had this period its been only for 3 days and really light. i dont want to look a fool at the doctors if i ask them.
thanks for any genuine help.
Wait a few more days and repeat the test

thankyou so much i appreciate your advice. hope i dont seem too thick?
no nicola and yes it is possible. Dont feel silly best to ask then be left worrying. Good luck
No need to feel silly, we don't know unless we ask. tc
No...if you have had a NORMAL period you cannot be pregnant.

In the case of an ectopic pregnancy you may have a bleed which may resemble your period, but this scenario is extremely uncommon.
Sorry I should have been more precise.

If you have had a NORMAL period within the last 2-3 weeks of a 28day cycle........then you cannot be pregnant.

Sorry for not being clear.
Hi Sqad, Sorry for butting in! But, I have known women who have still had their regular periods & were actually pregnant!

Yes, goes against Nature, but there You have it!! Who are we to question God??

Also Sqad, just wanted to tell you. Re my own problem, which I took Your advice on! - Went back to GP yesterday, and persisted she send me to Breast Clinic - as such!! So that is now in the pipe line!

Would not have done that, only I thought again about what YOU said, So thank YOU bird & I will let you know what happens next! - Long story about GP's delivery - but I still won the right to be forwarded on - so to speak! - because of what YOU said!

n1cola79, if you google up 'having a period when pregnant', there are lots of sites which will explain all about it. WikiAnswers.com i thought was a very explanatory one. i'd have put the link up...but i don't know how to :(
surely a pregnancy test will show up levels of HCG? I would believe a negative test to be a negative, assuming you did not take the test too early
