ooooo, meant to ask too, is caffeine a toxin?
Far too many to enumerate......google liver toxins.

Drugs, plants, anaesthetics just for starters.

A healthy liver needs nothing to improve it's health status.
These are the best tablets in the world for reversing and protecting against liver damage from what ive heard

Is there a scientific basis for all this, Mime? some of it is common sense but some of it looks like politico-veggie mumbo jumbo?
Androcles, there over 300 clinical studies at the bottom of the link, i also know of people that take this when they dabble with bodybuilding sustances and when folk get their liver values etc checked before and after there is an almost sometimes miraculous regeneration! (and no i dont sell or am invilved with the company that sells it,im just going on what i read, studies ive seen and word of mouth)
The Mime....you have missed out...and a partridge in a pear tree

Bubbles has asked what is good for the liver.

All these "clinical studies" are from an Indian medical source all associated with abnormal livers

Acute hepatitis and chronic liver disease where diet does play a part. Nothing to do with the question.

had pain in my right side ie liver, went to docs and just got test results back over phone, not sure now what its all about. something to do with liver function test, enzyme count maybe? up, down?what does this mean, im so scared as ive read that the body cant function without your liver. ive been told i cant drink alcohol, is this usually for good?
Liver is the organ in the body with the greatest ability to regenerate. Surgically remove two thirds of your liver and within weeks it will be back to normal.

Liver function test are important for the diagnosis, but in their absence and your post. I would guess that they would show ..infective hepatitis.........just a guess.

When the liver is damaged, enzymes in the liver cells spill out into the blood stream and they can be identified by blood tests
Sqad does that mean your liver will learn to work at a lower capacity or can it grow to its once original size or therabouts!
What happened to the Mimes list - it seems to have disappeard? Was it an advert for a health food shop?
