On a night out in Central London many years ago, zzxxee
We were on a night out ( about 8 of us ) and we were coming out of The Wag Club in Wardour Street...............it was quite foggy that night, but you could still see a distance of about 40 feet away......as we were walking to the taxi place, in a really remote area, we heard footsteps coming towards us and we passed a very well dressed gent, who seemed to be wearing Victorian/Edwardian style clothing........hat umbrella etc too.....as he passed us, he looked and smiled at us, and we heard his footsteps for another 3 or 4 paces then NOTHING!....footsteps stopped........some of us turned around not to see anyone there.....and a few of us even went back to see where he could have gone.......shop entrances/doorways/alleys.........he just vanished!......could never expain that!.....( before you ask.....yes we had been on the lash and no we didnt imagine it........i'm quite a sober drunk!( just throw up a bit!)....and so are some of the others i was with that night.
Sorry if this went on a bit..............but you did ask!
Had some really spooky things going on in certain nightclubs i've worked in and even pubs too.........love to see one and ask it questions....would'nt you?

Many years ago when i was a lorry driver I was driving along a newly opened bypass when i had to swerve to avoid an old man in a long gaberdine raincoat riding an old 'high' type bicycle with no lights. It was very dark so i stopped to tell him what I thought...To my surprise the road was empty not a sign of anybody. It was very scary,Did I imagine it ? I don't know...but what was more scary was that in the next weeks local paper there was a story of the ghost of an old man seen riding a bicycle along the North Cove bypass...I hadn't mentioned it to anybody except my wife..I have never forgotten it....x
My brother-in-law popped into B & Q early one morning just as they opened - whilst he was engrossed in looking for paint an elderly lady asked him where she could find wood to make a dolls house, he thought she was dressed a bit funny, but directed her to the correct aisle. He turned round in a split second and she had vanished, he looked up and down different aisles and she was nowhere to be seen. The store was mainly empty apart for some staff.
It really spooked him. I said did you tell any of the staff, but he just wanted to get out.
