Peckham High Street ? (sorry couldn't resist)
it's going to hurt, where ever it is. what's the point in having it somewhere you don't want for the rest of your life, for the sake of a bit of pain?
On the sole of your foot or your neck.

i really want it done coz its something for my grandad who passed away and we were really close... and just to have it dont would mean so much to me and my family...
The upper arm is the least painful place to have one.
If you ever want to have it removed it will cost hundreds of pounds, even for a smallish one.
Are you sure your Grandfather would want you to mark yourself for life? I doubt it.
Any idea where you would like it and i can tell you the pain from 1-10.
Would your grandad really want you to be tattoo'd?
Why not have the design made into a necklace or bracelet?
Question Author
well yes he was covered in them and he contributed something to me so i want to give that respect back to him
On a friend (lol)

And when you regret it later, you won't have the pain of having it burned off with a laser either.
Question Author
i was hoping sopmewhere thats kinda visable, does the size of you matter to the pain?
OK -I have a tattoo on my neck -just a litlle one and it was very sore as its right on the bone.
So basically you want to avoid any bony areas -I have one betweeen my thumb and fore finger and that was virtually painless -another on my wrist of my childrens initials and again relatively painless but the neck one thankfully was quick as it was really testing me and I have a high pain threshold.

Sorry to others but its not a personal opinion thread -she/he asked for advice and TBH its down to each individual.:)
bear in mind that some tattoo colours will not laser off.

how old are you, Kelz?
Question Author
ok thank you :) and thanks for sticking up for me to... would it make any differene if i had numbing cream? and can i just ask Drisgirl, do you talk to anyone called kevin?
The size doesnt matter -it can just be boring but it does depend on the place.I have friends who have wonderful body art but they had to do it in 2 sittings because of the length of time.

Once the tattoist starts and the intitial jolt then you really do relax into the sensation.

i'm 18. can i just ask aswell, im a big girl i wont deny it so does that make any diffrence either?
on your grandad......drag him wiv you to show him off ;)
Question Author
i would take him but he passed away...
I doubt your size matters. when I had my first I wanted it on my upper arm but the tattooist advised me to go a couple of inches higher or lower, as that part would be very painful. I hate it now, btw!

you need to talk to a reputable tattooist. I think hc's idea of having some jewellery made was a fab idea.
No I dont as it happens and numbing cream is just that -its just temporary.Best just to bite the bullet and get it done.
My daughetr is having a Triumph logo tattoed down her side in memory of her late dad who died on his bike and she wont regret it.
She also has a bird of prey on her lower back -another painful place.

Good luck -take a pal with you and it'll be over with quicker than you think -I think its a lovely tribute as we are all a long time dead and TBH life is for living -you could be dead tomorrow -anyway i quite fancy going to the bingo (later) with my wee bits and pieces lol
