Does anybody know of any good websites that show women how they can examine their breasts?  I'm not sure if it's just because mine are 34DD that when i take off my bra they ache but just lately i've noticed that after removing my bra if i reach up for something one of my boobs is really painful, when i feel it it kind of feels like there is a small lump just to the left of my armpit, i'm not sure if i'm imagining it.  if anybody knows of any good sites pls 4wd them, how often are you meant to examine them and does anyone else have this? x

Emma if you suspect a lump its wise to see your GP,most lumps are harmless but its best to get it checked properly. My breasts were always more painfull about 1 week before my period was due and taking my bra off was agony. You can Google how to self examine, put in " Breast Examination" and it tells you how do it.

Yes, see your GP for advice, don't self-diagnose yourself.

Here are some websites:

That sounds like it could be an abscess in your armpit, I've had a couple and had to get antibiotics.  Everyone else is right of course - get to your GP!
Emma - yes we should all check our own breasts however, if you find some suspecious you shoudl go immediatly to the doctor. That is what self-examination is about: early warning to get you to your GP. You've found something, now get down there! Odds on it is harmless and you can put your mind at rest. x

I can understand why your worried Emma. Go and see you Doctor. They are very understanding and it better to get it sorted rather than leave it.

I had something similar a few years back and felt very scared. But I went to my GP and he reasurred me that it was probably just hormonal. He sent me for a check up at the hosital just to be sure.

After seeing the Dr. there he confirmed it was just 'the hormones'!  Since then I have been fine thankfully.

Good luck.
