My friends father aged 53 (I think) was glassed in the face last night, his face has some cuts to it and a deep gash, my friend said that he went to bed at 2am and is still asleep now, could he have concussion, as he is usually a light sleeper and doesnt sleep for this amount of time? My friend said he will refuse to go to the hospital, could she call a doctor out?

It's quite possible he is in shock, especially if he has lost a fair amount of blood. Could be a medical emergency.

cuts and a deep gash alone would require treatment at A&E!!!
He'll be left very scarred by the wounds if they are not stiched - that is if it isnt too late to stitch them already!

I am surprised that someone would bother to come on a website to ask this. NHS direct might have been better!! I wonder whether they even tried to wake the guy up. I would be frantic and shaking and yelling at him. Strange!!

True Lofty... dont try to wake him.. instead turn on PC.. make a cuppa and sit down to AB and see if anyone might know when he will wake up!!
