concussion

my 8 year old daughter fell off her bunk bed and landed sideways with the side of her face taking the impact this was tues took her to hos said was fine then had to take her back wed hos said she had concussion. How long does concussion last as she has just cried herself to sleep as been complaining of headaches she has been getting calpol every two hours. Is this normal for concussion or do i need to get her re examined she has big bruise on side of face. thanks from a worried mum x

Hi,
A headache is quite normal but calpol is usually given 4 hourly, did the hospital say to give it more frequently, you want to be careful not to overdose her.
