two crowns at one time do you just pay the £198.?

definately. If it is all part of the same course of treatment, the most you will pay is 198 pounds even if you needed 8 fillings, 3 xrays, and extraction and a root canal as well (although you would be pretty unlucky to need all that!)
But while you're in there you might as well get the full works...!
makes the £1200.00 I paid for 2 crowns not so good.
My NHS dentist will only do one at a time
Craft-never mind,am I right is guessing you where a private patient-the finish on them can be superior and sometimes the material too.Brucie1996-that is soo wrong,can you complain to your LHA about this?
