'... You're fat and I'll throw you in the river....'

Mine's 'sod it'. If you can't make it better, there's no point in thinking any other way. :o)
Cocccinelle, I actually prefer "If a job's worth doing, it's worth doing badly." If you think about it, this does not mean that you OUGHT to try to make a mess of it, it means you should give it your very best shot, no matter how bad that turns out to be. In other words, "If it's worth doing, it's worth doing"...end of story.
My Motto is 'If it aint broke don't fix it' :-))

Hi quizmonster, I know what you mean but I think the job's worth doing well; even if the result isn't good, you've put all you've got into it. I also agree redman with that; especially when it comes to computers - leave it be - they have minds of their own. Still working that one out brenda!
Dream as if you live forever..
Live as if you die tomorrow!

My old school motto was `Hard Work Overcomes All Difficulties`
My old school one roughly translated from Latin was......I do everything to the best of my ability.
Mine is - 'A thing of beauty is a joy for a fortnight! (Saves on the shopping anyway!)
