It depends on the situation. You have to walk in someones shoes....I'm a Catholic as well.

this is a subject where there is no right or wrong, all depands on situation and the person. I was always very against it when younger but I have grown up and seen people have them and agree that they did it for all the right reasons. One was way too young and in a hostel the others baby had edwards syndrome so had to make the decision to abort. I agree that a young girl that has made a mistake and isnt ready should have the right to abort but I dont agree with teenagers that keep getting pregnant over and over and use abortion as some kind of contraception.

With respect, but there are a lot of "mitigating circumstances" If it was down to rape then maybe its justified. If the age of the women comes into the issue, the women or mans religion. You have touched a VERY sensitive nerve and please be warned of some "outward" opinions.

My friends doctor refused her an abortion after number 4. One mistake...OK...Two...a bit silly...3,4 and 5....irresponsible beyond belief.

each to their own i say, im not for or against its a personal choice and a very hard one at that that stays with you for the rest of your life. The only time i dont agree with it is when stupid idiots use it as a 'get out clause' instead of using contraception in the first place, thats just wrong!!!!!! speaking from experience of having a abortion myself some years ago, it was so traumatic and distressing that i will make sure i NEVER have to go down that route again and have a unwanted pregnancy, so much so that i now use 2 forms of contraception to be extra safe. It was awful desicion to make and one that i always think about, however i know i did it for the right reasons

It's a terifically complex and heart-rending decision for any woman to make - but the mother has to have the final word. It is fundamentally wrong for anyone else not involved to put pressure on someone in this difficult situation - the notion of complete strangers taking the moral high ground is very wrong.

Everybody has a diffrent view on Abortions.

However, to be short and sweet rather than write a paragraph, It's not fair to bring a child into the world knowing that the love/care and attention can't be given.

I had an abortion back in October and it was the hardest decision I had to make. My bf of a year and 4 months is still studying to be a tax advisor .His exams are about the time the baby wouldve been due and he would be studying during my pregnancy which he has said he would want to be involved and support me through it when it is the right time. It was totally the wrong time for us. i do want more kids though. Maybe in a few years.
