hiya my 2 year old is suffering with constipation on a regular basis now,she eats a really good well balanced diet and has plenty to drink throughout the day so cant understand why she is getting this problem all the time. Today for instance she was clinging onto me for dear life because of the pain she was in and cant bear for me to touch her in any other way than tightly cwtching her, its heartbreaking :(.
The last time i took her to gp about it i was made to feel stupid and made out to be a over paranoid mam, but it is a worry because its happening on a regular basis, as in every other day or so.
I really dont know what else i can do, ive tried orange juice, warm baths, belly rubs, sugary tea but dont know what else i can try, any suggestions would be apprieciated thanks.

Without knowing exactly what she eats it's difficult to say what may be wrong. I think you really should go back to the doctor (can you see a different one?) or maybe see your practice nurse or health visitor. It is obviously worrying you and causing her distress so don't ignore it.

on a average day she will have something like porrage for breakfast with banana and a cup of milk. lunch is generally a ham and cucumber sarnie with cheese dippers or soup and bread, tea would usually be meat and veg of some sort (its a general rule i go by that no matter whats for tea it will always contain 2 types of veg). snacks are usually fruit or yoghurt or biscuits as a treat.
im definatley going to see someone about it again, perhaps i will have more joy with our health visitor
How often does she go?
Is the pain you describe during a bowel movement? if so she may have an anal fissure (crack) . When she cries is her tummy hard and distended and what consistency of motions does she pass? All these questiond could lead to a diagnosis and a solution.
Try and see another GP if you didn't get satisfaction from the first one - you need to have this investigated. You don't want it to go on any longer. You say it's happening every other day or so - does she poo fairly normally in between times?
Your daughter have a lovely varied diet lotsafun, but I see you fail to include water, you may find she's less constipated. If you include water and fresh fruit ,

Not a serious situation and can be speedily resolved with rectal creams.
