my little boy has juvenile diabetes and now coeliac disease :O(
1 Answers
my son was diagnosed a type 1 diabetic last nov and just as we were getting used to the whole thing ,jabs, blod sugar testing, etc during his 2nd diabetic check up last feb suspicions were raised that he could have coelic disease too.
my little guy had a procedure last week at addenbrokes and now it has been confirmed he definitely has coeliac. it feels like one blow after another.
to make things worse my son is a fussy eater so i'm dreading trying to alter his limited diet. does anyone have any advice on dealing with diabetes, coeliac disease, and even fussy eating in children. my family and friends are being v supportive but i feel a bit overwhelmed with it all at the moment.
i've yet to have any medical advice about what the condition is and how to deal with it but i gather a large part will be seeing the dietician who if i'm honest hasn't been great up to now with advice on his diabetes and fussy eating let alone this 3rd factor. any words of advice or experience will be greatly appreciated.
